Best of Engagements 2017

In the most un-cliche way possible- 2017 was one for the record books. I absolutely loved working with EACH AND EVERY person that was in front of my camera in the last 365 days. To finish out this year and in the spirit of trying to blog more in the coming year I wanted to start off with the Best of Engagements in 2017.

Bare with me as it's really difficult to narrow these fun session down to just a few to share with ya'll here today..

Suzie is one of my dearest friends + I'm so incredibly happy she found her other half in the world. In September 2017 I stood right beside her as her maid of honor but back in the spring they came out to my place for some engagement pictures. It was a COLD, drizzly March day but you'd never know it by looking at them. Thankful I got to capture this time for them.

I met up with Cheyenne + Dalton at my place back in the spring. They brought their horse and pup + it was so perfect. I really could take their photos for days. They tied the knot on Dec. 3, 2017. It was a BEAUTIFUL day + we couldn't have asked for anything better.

Jessica + Chris are really so fun to work with. We did part 1 of their engagement session in the fall of 2016 + met again in spring of 2017 before their April 2017 wedding. This second set of pictures we took on their farm ground near Ozark, AR. Their wedding in April just happened to be the weekend of the 100 year flood. I'll never forget it because of the rain and because of how well they handled the situation.

Kirbi + Kyle's session is super close to my heart as Kirb has been one of my best friends for many, many years. On a chilly day in October I stood beside her as she + Kyle began their life together as Mr. and Mrs. Carter.

Taylor + Bailey met up with me in July + it wasn't too hot. It was perfect. We took pictures at the college farm where they live + Taylor works as an agriculture instructor, livestock judging coach and beef herdsmen. We followed that location up with their lease place with their cattle. The sunset was fantastic.

Sam + Josh are a couple I've been taking family photos for, for a few years but this fall we finally had the chance to take engagement pictures. The weather was great + it was literally what my dreams are made of. I am really looking forward to their Oct. 20, 2018 wedding.

In November when Brittany + Luke came over to my place for their yearly fall photos, Brittany and no idea Luke was about to get down on one knee and ask her to spend forever with him. Proposals are my favorite.

I'm looking forward to all of the special days I get to shoot in 2018. I'm kicking off the 2018 wedding season with McKenzie + Justin's wedding in Cozumel, Mexico. Brooke + Zach will be getting married in April in Tulsa. Shelby + Jordan have the cutest little love story and will be getting married in September + Micayla + Jaymes will tie the knot in November 2018.

This isn't even scraping the surface of all the FANTASTIC people I worked with this year but these are a few of my favorite images. Thank you for following along on this journey + thank you to everyone who chose (or continually chooses) me to capture your big + small moments. I'm humbled.

Here is to 2018...Keep an eye out for the Best of Seniors, Weddings + Families from 2017.

Much love,

BC
